She’s just a rebel, and they can’t explain the things that she does.

She’s just a rebel baby
That is what they always say
They can’t describe
The odd and peculiar things she does
So they cover it with labels,
To box in the lies
They’d like to lock her up
and throw away the key
Is that logical?
She’s different,
but not a maniac
No matter how often they throw her those lines,
She’ll never give in
No, not that easily
They’ll have to catch her fast
but they are too oblivious to watch her
sneak away

There’s a lot of truth in this. I love ‘they cover it with labels to box in the lies’, great poem.

A great poem. It is strange how people often get labelled because we don’t understand them.
