Another snowy day in New England.
You have a snow day today
I saw it on the news
I bet you’re thrilled
When I was your age I was too
No school meant
Extra sleep
A day without mind-numbing lectures
Flipping through channels
Eating with my eyes open
I’m sure your mother has work
No snow days for our girl
But maybe one day
If we band together
This won’t always be so
Our powers combined
She’d have to stay home
And be safe
And be re-programmed into someone who
Enjoys snowball fights
And movie marathons
And drinking hot chocolate in my arms
I can’t help things this snow day, kiddo
Hopefully by the next one
Or the one after that
Still
Enjoy your day off
But
Please be our good guy
And get the shoveling done before your mom gets home
I’d really appreciate it
And what a good surprise for her it would be
