Kids playing in snow… snow wanting them to play.

                                                                  Nine AM on a Saturday

Snow drifted to the ground

Making a white blanket

for the kids to play

the snow drifts ever so slowly

Wishing the kids would come out

Children’s laughter is so calming

they handle the cold ever so boldly

They crawl out of bed

Dressing warm and eating breakfast

The run out side pulling their sled

Laughing and screaming

Slipping and slidding

As they make their way up the hill

At the top they find a dollar bill

They made a snowman

Then slide back down

As the snow drifts came down faster

Flurries whipped past the snowman

The kids couldn’t believe their eyes

For they thought they saw him shiver

They didn’t tell anyone

Because adults don’t like lies
