Snowed In For the Day.

The loving ground outdoors is blanketed with snow.

Feverish winds bite off innocent noses

Who carry their books off to school,

Marching through their turbulent trenches.

I awoke this morning with a rush of water tides

Blasting through my head.

Walking into the kitchen,

I opened the refrigerator and took out a bag

Full of green grapes, along with a banana.

Closing the refrigerator door, I walked over to the

Counter and poured them into a green bowl,

Put them up to my spongy mouth and mashed them

Between my jeweled teeth,

Followed by swallowing them with a cup of chilled milk.

I then walked into the living room,

Sat on the sofa and clicked on the television

To watch Roseanne reruns.

After the show, I walked into my bedroom

And cracked open the book Harry Potter and

I read six pages of chapter thirteen,

Put the book away and attempted to lay down on my bed,

But I had to use the facilities,

Then walked into my bedroom to write,

When the phone rang.

I then walked back into my bedroom

And began drizzling my thoughts onto

The shouting paper, because I was

Snowed in for the day.

the Order of the Phoenix.
