You every think about the affect an artificial world has on you and your being.
I think I’d be better off without you
You tear down my hopes and leave me empty handed
All I see through you is the worst manifestations of humanity
All grey and ugly is the image I get from you
Not something I dearly want to hold on to
What you offer is morose and depressingly blue
All your concrete and steel are devoid of warmth
You leave me feeling cold and helpless
Society I can hear your death bell ring
As you try to conquer everything
You leave the bitter taste of bile upon my tongue
As your polluted wings cover us all
The time has come along
To right the things we did wrong
To serve our earth at last
Leaving all our foolishness to the past
I think I’d be better off without you
Away from your oppressive walls and steel
From the order of nature you could learn a great deal
Oh society, you drag a man down until there’s nothing left but the shell
A hollowed husk where man used to be
You pervert the greatest creation of the cosmos
The harp string of humanity society pulls
The time has come along
To right the things we did wrong
To serve our earth at last
Leaving all our foolishness to the past
It’s hard to believe your seductive call
A smooth talker bent on corrupting my ways
You offer comfort and a home which steals your soul
Society you are not a friend of me
Through all your cunning lies I can see
Oh society, wont you just leave me be
It’s hard to see why so many run to your arms for comfort
When all you give is lies and deceit
I think I’d be better off without you
Just give me untouched grass, trees, and breeze
Even the softly floating pollen that makes me sneeze
It is a hundred times better than your disease
The time has come along
To right the things we did wrong
To serve our earth at last
Leaving all our foolishness to the past
