Staring into the abliss of life;

she finds it hollow.

Delving deep into the cup of poison…

she wills herself to swallow.

Her body’s been destroyed,

by soul wrenching depression;

because of one short life,

of terrorizing obsession.

She walks along the sidewalk,

in bone-drenching rain.

Swallowed up by agony;

indulging in the pain.

Sadness is addictive;

she’s long had its cancer.

She knows no other feeling…

she knows no other answer.

What life is this to live?

What horrors she could share;

as she sits herself in darkness,

trapped within her lair.

Society cannot save her;

for it has made her so.

All their talk of vanity…

has only pushed her low.

Now she sits in solitude…

praying for the end.

Hoping that her death…

waits just around the bend.
