A poem about a homeless woman who receives the kindness from a stranger.

The cold wind blows

Against soft, red cheeks

Ruby red lips now pale and weak

Hunger gnaws, her stomach pangs

Muscle spasms from relentless pain

A kind soul stops, offers a hand

A cup of hot soup

A warm smile

A hug

Judgment washed away

By a stranger with no name

Pride left behind on an empty street

Except for one angle with soft red cheeks.
