She drills the ball to left field, and is off to first.
Step step step step step step sliiiiiide.
SAFE! Calls the umpire.
Boo!! From the pitcher.
Yay! Cheers, whoops and hollers of excitement from the crowd.
Whoosh! Smack! STRIKE ONE!
Deep breath. Whoosh! Slap! FOUL BALL!
Pitcher wipes the sweat, cleans the ball, and pitches.
Whoosh! Smack! STRIKE THREE!! BATTER’S OUT!
