It is my first poem.
Swirling deeper and deeper
Into an unknown abyss,
I was not the only
Fluff of cotton.
Nascent flames
Light our path,
But not for long.
Expecting…some great fire
We keep swirling
A moment,
We are caressed breeze
Intoxicating our very being
That we forget
The fire.
The next,
The breeze fades
Into more oblivion
And we become stray…
The aimless arrow
Is still to be followed,
For we are mere
Cotton fluffs…
Unknown veil of bonds
Hides the fire from us
And we fall
Into the deep ocean
Of existence.
The more we drown
We shrink within ourselves
For we are mere
Cotton fluffs…
When we touch the bottom
And we find no pearl,
We abandon…And
We are abandoned.
Tearing the wretched veil,
Our eyes wander in search of
The ultimate fire.
And then…
We reach the fire
To burn ourselves to ashes
And like the phoenix
Become another cotton fluff
Or to become
The fire itself?
Burning brighter…
With vigour?
Know not us
For we are mere
Cotton fluffs…
