The travesty of those in far-off lands being unable to vote, because absentee ballots either haven’t made it, or haven’t made it to the theater with enough time to return and be counted. Have you voted with your soldier who can’t in mind? Remember them this election!

SOLDIER VOTE

I stand on the line,

Protect this nation,

Your do right to vote,

Truly elation!

In strange, foreign land,

I will hold the line,

So cast your choice now,

I truly hold mine;

Absentee ballots,

From which I should choose,

Never made it here,

My vote I will lose;

My great leaders there,

In wisdom have none,

My sacrifice here,

No vote – only gun!

So voter today,

Remember my lack,

I will not one cast,

I’m stuck in Iraq!

(Please remember, and vote, with the soldier in mind who isn’t able to do so!)

    Such a travesty in the election process. I especially liked, ‘In wisdom have none.’
