I have always been fasinated by the whole “is there life out there” thing. I once read an article on someone taking a photo and although there had been no one there at the time, the camera caught someone who was resonably human. I wondered if there ever was visitors from another planet.. could they be similiar in looks? could we even see them? could they be living in another dimension?etc…
Also I am thinking about doing a poem on the Rama series too soon so keep an eye out if you like this :)

He comes without sound

just a whisper upon a breathless night

not so much as a chime

does he enter our world with

at least not one heard by the human ear

an unjustified arrival

not a single bead of sweat

graces his tranquil brow

to mark his long lost travels

a click in and out in the blink of an eye

no need for inconvenient travel

he comes from beyond the stars

he blends into the crowds

more than just an apparition

amongst the flesh, is he

such human resemblance

his eyes well up with a substance

we might know all too well

the beauty and delight is overwhelming

such a flourish of life here

hit with such compelling reverie

of how his planet used to be

the oceans once just a spec in time

now open to his eyes

such luscious fields of grass

now tickling his naked feet

he can soon return home

how they will rejoice

with word of such a hospitable planet

he can see the end in sight

the end to the long centuries they have suffered

in the broken lands of chaos

his civilisation to be reborn

to yet another world

there can be no hostile takeover

we will coexist without the knowledge

breathe as one on this complex planet

seen through two sets of distant eyes

to watch the sun disappear into the ocean

embrace each blinding night together

emotions swimming in solidarity

our kind do not see him

and his eyes are trained

to never to detect us

Your imagination is sufficiently remarkable as to perhaps be possible…at least not disputable.
