Poem explaining how we are dealt a hand, but it is so much easier to play this hand with a loving partner.

Sitting alone reflecting

Just the cards and me

Trying to fit them together

Like the pod fits the final pea.

It is not always easy

To win at this game of life

The cards are dealt to us

As we face both calm and strife.

When I stopped playing solo

And my partner joined the game

The cards just seemed to meld

Every time I heard his name!
