wind’s winnow, blush of spring

soughs beneath robin’s breath

          vermillion breasts

     beneath boughs loosening

light of increasing intensity

     pleasantest pain

of brightening verdure

is the sweet scent of life

          vane spinning green

     for ripening merger

vermiculate vamp’s vernality

     after the rain
