Some would say I’m a Transformer

I can put on act better than your favorite performer

I am more than meets the eyes

However, I have human emotions; I laugh, get mad, and cry

Some would say I’m anti-social

I just say I’m not that vocal

I’m a man of few words

Besides I can’t say anything you haven’t already heard

Some would say I’m greedy

But I can’t help but look at other people’s success and think, “Why not me?”

I can only play the hand I’m dealt

But I think I deserve my shot at the title belt

Some would say I’m vulture

I’m just a victim of my culture

It’s all about trying to get ahead

I can rest when I’m dead

Some would say I’m blessed

They don’t realize my life is filled with stress

I struggle to put food on the table

I pay my bills only when I’m able

Some would say I’ve changed

But as you get older you can’t stay the same

One day I had to stop playing with toys

That’s the difference between me and my boys

Some would say I’m a sinner

But every Sunday, through the church doors I enter

Now I don’t live like a saint everyday

Every night before bed to the Lord I pray

Some would say I’m lucky

I’ve just been able to seize opportunity

It’s a case of the right place, right time

I don’t see that as a crime

Some would say I’m selfish

But I’ve got to look out for number one, that’s just the way it is

Growing up, I couldn’t count on anybody

There weren’t many hugs and kisses from daddy or mommy

Some would say I’m spoiled

But I’m not the type to get my hands soiled

I’m not cut out for manual labor

Not knocking those that do it, it’s just not my flavor

Some would say I’m calm

But I’m a ticking time bomb

I could explode at any moment

You don’t want to be my opponent

But you know what; I don’t care what some would say
