That illusive day in the future.

I’ll travel to foreign and distant lands.
See the sites, that is my plan.

When? When will you travel to foreign and distant lands,
See the sites, fulfill your plan?

Someday…someday.

Renew acquaintances with my old friends,
With those I’ve offended make amends.

When? When will you renew acquaintances with old friends,
      With those offended make amends?

Someday…someday.

Give of my time to those in need,
Give of my charity the hungry to feed.

When? When will you give your time to those in need,
Give of your charity the hungry to feed?

Someday…someday.

Captain a sailboat across the waves,
Follow new paths that the Spirit paves.

When? When will you captain a sailboat across the waves,
Follow new paths that the Spirit paves?

Someday…someday.

I’ll be dying, you know, leaving this earth.
Ending the days I’ve counted since birth.

When? When will you die and leave this earth,
End the days you’ve counted since birth?

Someday…someday.

Lot of food for thought. Today might be a good day to start. Tomorrows tend to be unreliable.

The years fly faster and faster the older we get. My Mom died at 61, she never got to do all the things that were waiting until she retired.

There is a profound ’someday never’ message there, Kate. Well written.

Death is a sad part of life and it depends on how we deal with it, but I think that you deal with it beautifully. Nice write.
