Nights out on the town with your significant other are great for some.As for me, I do so much running around in my everyday life that I’d rather spend my down time just being still in the company of the one I love.

All I ever wanted was someone to be still with

Lazy days in the park

Under the big oak tree

In silence, the only sound

Our hearts beating in time

Clouds float by on invisible winds

And the flowers of the meadow

Sway in obedience

And the sun warms our faces

I need someone to be still with

Cozy evenings spent cuddling

On the couch, no TV

Soft music plays in the background

Fingers intertwined

While we talk in near whispers

Stopping only to graze a cheek

Or exchange a sweet and tender kiss

This to me is bliss

Who wants to get all dressed up

Drive way across town

“Dinner and a movie”, dancing and the like

When what I most desire is

Someone to be still with
