Someone Wonderful

A poem about new beginnings….

I met Someone Wonderful,
And now I’m feeling rather fine,
Because I surrendered what I knew,
And finally let her shine.

I halted mind’s negative reel,
Which spun round far too long,
To make way for catchy play,
Of new and promising song.

I never reached happy heights,
Sought from others and from things,
Because these were bound to ground,
When they couldn’t give me wings.

No one will ever be to blame,
For all that I can be,
As I’ve met Someone Wonderful,
And that someone is Me!

Beautiful picture depiction, Your expressions of new beginnings and self discovery are wonderfully articulated in this fine written song with poetic heights. I am amazed to discover how wonderfully I may shine as someone wonderful to meet.
