A poem.

You had me in place, and then you let go

You claimed my feelings I did not show

Nothing has changed, if you could only see

You were my light, but had to flee

Now we’re free and moving along

And your still singing that quiet song

You need me, want me, and now feel strong

You should have realized that you were wrong

I have to keep going now, my mind is right

I won’t go through another fight

Your fierce words have had their final blow

You thought you knew me, but you’ll never know

You can’t come inside, until you let it show

Show me who you are, and that you are real

But if it has to be proven we have no deal

I’ll let this be advice to the rest

And hope not to put another at my test

Time is precious

 I won’t invest

Into another wasted hopeless mess.
