Something More to Our Lives

A poem that literally jumped out of my mind!

We all know, there is something

more to our lives.

Are we merely floating around

or do we have a destiny?

As Forest Gump said,

“Maybe it’s both.”

I see chaos in the streets,

and innocence in a child.

There are some things sacred

that can never be defiled.

Getting lost in the details,

one may miss the bigger picture.

We’re all loved from above.

A star that never fades.

We’re not forced to live,

but given a choice of paths.

The choice of right and wrong.

How will you write your song?
