About trucking in a bad economy.
Okay so freight is down
People are saving their money
It’s getting tougher to pay
The bills and then Jan says
“Just hang in there, honey!”
Jeff and I just need a load
Something with some miles
We’re hoping for California
Now that would make us
Both smile!
If these wheels aren’t turning
We’re not making any money
We’ve been sitting in Nashville
For three days now…
Let me tell you people
This sitting around is no
Longer funny…
My last paycheck was
Four weeks ago
I’m running out of hope
But there’s just not a thing
I can do except sit in this
Truck and mope…
Something’s just got to give
But what I don’t have a clue
I’m at the end of my rope
I don’t know what to do…
Someone recently told me
To tie a knot in it and hang on
Things will get better for all of us
I just hope that help comes soon…
