Nostalgic verse in two languages (English and Italian).
Sometimes,
I would really want to trust you,
to trust a little
in your pride of Swiss watch.
Pleasure or displeasure,
I would almost retry,
fall back, redo my steps.
But then,
there is that thread of pain,
that drop of boredom,
that tiny fear of having my heart hurt
again…
But then,
the invisible sidewalk does not exist,
and; if it does exist, it can’t be seen,
and the songs are not listened at all,
nothing can be heard on the top of the sky
when I kiss you.
There is no sound track
as in American movies.
There is neither firework,
nor bell ringing, nor angels chores,
and the soil under my feet does not quake
when I kiss you, my love.
Heart of who knows whom!
A volte;
vorrei propio fidarmi di te,
fidarmi un pó
del tuo orgoglio da orologio svizzero,
piacere o dispiacere,
quasi quasi tornerei
a riprovarci,
a ricascarci, a rifare i miei passi.
Ma poi,
c’é quel filo di dolore,
quella goccia di noia,
quel pochino di paura di ferire il mio cuore
di nuovo…
Ma poi,
il marciappiede invisíbile non esiste,
e se esiste, non lo si vede,
e le canzoni non si ascoltano manco per niente,
non si sente propio niente sull’alto del cielo
quando ti bacio.
Non c’é colonna sonora
come nei film americani,
non ci sono fuochi d’artificio
ne campanate, ne cori d’angeli,
e non si muove il suolo sotto ai miei piedi,
cuando ti bacio, amore mio,
cuore di chissá chí…
I liked reading this in both languages, I cannot speak or read Italian but it looks and sounds far sexier!!
