A poem about finding friendship at the most unexpected time and moment.
Sometimes Friends Happen – Susan Varo – 8/31/2009
I was only seeking answers
To some troublesome problems when
Something started as I got the answers
That I didn’t know right then
I was finally in the moment
Where good things come around
Although it came on quickly
It didn’t make a sound
In the interim of words
Or beginning to an end
But the riddle has no answer
Sometimes friends happen
Since I’d bundled up my feelings
Some emotions have slipped through
Friendship has that way about it
That you don’t know what to do
It brings about beginnings
And you don’t know what’s in store
Perhaps the things you did without
Or you didn’t have before
There’s a meaning to this friendship
On that I will depend
When we give up all control
Sometimes friends happen
