Sometimes I like myself
Sometimes I wish I was you
Sometimes it’s easy to say unkind things to me
Sometimes my heart feels lighter than any love I ever knew

Some moments are easier than others
Some days so perfect and new
Some thoughts circle pleasantly
Some mornings I can barely come out from beneath my covers

Sometimes life is more of a struggle than you think
Sometimes life appears better than you could ever have imagined
Sometimes I want to give up on all the dreams I seek
Sometimes I feel unstoppable armed only with a shining powerful grin

Sometimes I see him and her and even her inside of me
Sometimes I struggle with how I feel about the reflection in the mirror
The one that sometimes mimics me
The one that sometimes also struggles with everything
Struggles to simply feel at peace, and
The one that sometimes needs to learn
How to just love and accept me, completely
