There are times we want to be heard and times we need to be heard and those times we will want to shout. We shout for different reasons, some more important than others.

Sometimes We Shout

Sometimes we shout because it seems that nobody is listening.
Sometimes we shout because it seems that nobody cares.
Sometimes we shout because somebody’s winning!
Sometimes we shout when someone is hurt.

Some are tired of shouting.
A whisper is all that you’ll hear.
When it is time for them to speak out.
Their voice is no longer strong and clear.

Sometimes they are silenced.
Sometimes their voice wasn’t heard.
Sometimes their shout is a whisper.
Sometimes a whisper is clear.

Sometimes we shout when we have a message.
Sometimes we shout when we must be heard.
Sometimes we shout from the rooftops.
Sometimes our shouts ring clear.

Sometimes we shout because it seems that nobody is listening.
Sometimes we shout because it seems that nobody cares.
Sometimes we shout because somebody’s winning!
Sometimes we shout when someone is hurt.

Sometimes we can shout and nothing comes out.

I think we have to think twice before telling someone to be quiet. Everyone has a reason even if we can’t understand and even if we think the reason might be frivolous. I fear the times when people give up on shouting.

… and I am one who really doesn’t like loud noise.
