It is the lyrical genius of demonstrated by the songwriter

Who uses all his grammatical skills, to create that image?

Then the singer brings it to live on the performing stage.

There were those guys from the Beetles, McCartney and Lennon

Initially the group sound like shouters, in the days of initiation

Then the songs changed, and the tone sort of mellow

One could see how much faster, their fame and fortune grow.

Those masters like Burk Bacharach and Hal David

Penning songs with feeling so real and melodies so splendid

Some like they were written just for Dionne Warwick’s lips

All of them she always converted to such great hits.

Oh! Let’s not drift too far, there is a guy name David Foster

Remember his song by Skylark, yes it was Wild Flower

There was many more, some very pleasing to hear

It was always so good to hear the radio play the one about a Lover’s holiday.

These writer’s songs were the ones were worth the wait, no matter how long it takes

There is no disputing; it was the guy from Bread name David Gates

Some of his song was so touching, just listening, made the eye watery

 Two examples were “If”, and just go and read into “diary.”

There were many good writers too many to mention

Music so touching and were just right for the occasion

But what has happened, this I think is making many ponder

As what we have today can be consider  a nine day wonder.
