SOUL WEEPING [October 6 2008]A PoemSOUL WEEPING [October 6 2008] - soul weepingsoul weeping
tears creeping
down my insides
wet
seeping
down
deep in
to my insides.
soul
steeping
down
deep in
the river wide
waves leaping
depths deepen;
my soul inside

by fears
weighed down
in tears
it drowns.

“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” -Psalm 126:5
[From one of the Psalms prescribed for Evening Prayer for Tuesday, October 7 2008, week of Proper 22, in The Daily Office Lectionary (The Book of Common Prayer, modern edition)]
I went out into Ocho Rios and as far as Annotto Bay, twice last week, jobhunting:
CMP, Mystic Mountain, Morgan’s Hardware, Annotto Bay Hospital, Margueritaville, Fisherman’s Point, Island Village Plaza, Treasure Hunt, 3 jewellery stores etc., etc.,
the only good thing was being able to see Bobbette twice.
With tears I have sown grapes and reap only wild grapes. I eat still this bread of sorrow.
“…he looked for judgement, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.” -Isaiah 5:7
[from the Old Testament reading for October 5 2008, Proper 22]
i look for God’s judgementyet i am still oppressed.i look for God's judgement - ilooki seek His righteousness;
still i cry in distress!
