This is a modified Sonnet. It addresses the topic of forgiveness, and offering up our darkness and our light to a higher power.

Sonnet For the Dawn of Awakening

Look light in the eye,

Face dawn like a beast,

Whoop primal love cry.

Let sun rise in the east,

Watch it unsheathe its bone handled dolce.

And cut open sky, remove ribs of dark,

Breath light into life, let warmth demulce

the land. Look! a ripple of color, an arc

spans mountains for millions

a rainbowing love mark.

Is it sufficient to soften affliction?

alala, alala, the Gods breath infinite sparks!

To our Gods we must offer the dark.

To our Gods we must offer the dark.
