A poem about a girl who cheated in her relationship and regrets it.

I wish you knew how much you mean to me. You’re something beautiful, you’re all that I see.I wish i could take all the pain I caused and throw it all away if it meant that you could forgive me and tell me you would stay. The ring you gave me is getting so cold. I want my finger to warm it until i get old.I trace my fingers across your lips and take your face in my hands. I sigh and in that one breath is all my regret. If you only knew that i’m nothing without you. I can’t live another day. Just stay in this moment , because the second you walk away i fall apart, i have no heart. There’s no more living breath inside of me. I’m a wreck, there’s nothing left and if you could see right through me, you would know how far I’d go  to show you that I’m sorry. I left the light on to help guide you home. No need to knock, just walk right in. You’ll always have the key. I can’t help but anticipate the day you come back to me.
