A funny little poem that popped into my head one day…the challenge was to write something with the word maiden…
Far away in a foreign land
Where stars twinkle bright
There is a fair virginal maiden
White with absolute fright
A dragon guards the bridge
Of where she does dwell
Waiting for a Sir Knight
To save her from her eternal hell
Each Knight that came before
Had failed in his quest
His mind had been distracted
By the fair maidens heaving breast
One Sir Knight sent by a King
Took on the mighty dragon one day
He conquered the frightening beast,
“Oh Sir Knight I am your’s” she did say
This mighty Knight brave and handsome
Would be her new husband, she did pray
The sir Knight turned to his prize, looked deep in her eyes and said
“Sorry honey I’m gay”
