In the public library I was a bit of a disturbance perhaps. My regrets to the young couple.

They were sitting in a quiet corner,
Of the library,
When I barged in,
Then sat nearby
They were playing some love games,
On the lap top,
As she stood standing by.

He stoked her elbows,
Then her shoulder,
She then became a bit colder,
Seeing the discomfort,
That my presence gave.

It did not strike me,
That this young couple,
Hadn’t come to study,

But my dumb mind,
Remained mute,
So they went out,
Of the loving shoot.

Sorry I disturbed you two,
That was when I realised,
The two of you had already dived.
Out of my vision you went,
Later I was sorry,
I could only lament,

Having interfered,
In your love interlude,
This poem,
I write as a prelude.
To make public libraries,
Have more cloves,
Where youngsters,
Can have a lovely,
Freer and friendlier close.

If they were that much in love, they probably didn’t notice you!
