my friend, opportunity is a fiend
yet a friend, please don’t let your knees bend
but blend with the weekend till the end
today it wasn’t good in the hood,
I know it didn’t snow,
don’t cry but try
to stop crying in the porch
due to the sun’s scorch
I feel your heat, don’t eat defeat,
never repeat your misfeat
because they’re lessons in disguise

never weep in your sleep,
within range, fortunes change,
so never blame the flame
that burns you because it churns but
makes you fireproof and bulletproof
for the next stage, the new age,
the next level, without a shovel

never weep in your sleep,
integrity, you must keep,
let your words be deep,
laugh when you leap
never stoop, never droop,
never flop or drop,
because here your time comes,
like a cunning mime,
but it shall surely arrive,
you time shall surely come.
