I wrote this after I found that who I thought I was and what I realy was were not the same.
My thoughts lay before me like a mighty ship
I stand upon her decks and guide the helmsmen
He warned me of the reefs ahead but little I heeded
“The reefs! Heave to!” helmsmen cried
“Worry not we’ll find our way” I replied
The ship was transfixed by a spear of rock
This new thought shattering our sturdy hull
I was thrown from the ship and washed ashore
Many times, I returned to the ship to salvage what was good
With these few tools I survived
I will build a new craft to take me on my journy
Until that time here you will find me
This island, a solace among the waves
This oasis in the desert of the sea
