What’s a feeling?

What’s a feeling?

Just chemical reactions,

Or are they soul reactions?

Deeper than flesh and bone.

Stronger than a tidalwave.

They can give you peace,

Or break your heart.

You can run from them,

Even numb them.

Or, Sing with the joyful

And weep with the broken hearted,

To get your life started.

*

What seperates you and I?

Walls we build and justify.

Must be torn down with grace and love,

To give praise and glory to the One above.

You must first be lost,

To be found.

A life of darkness,

We’re no longer bound.

Embrace the moments that you fear the most.

Our fate’s in Your hands,

In You we’ll boast.

I like the idea of embracing the moments I fear the most. Nice poem.

“Embrace the moments you fear the most”… for every moment of fear is an opportunity to trust God. Truly inspiring Joe. :)

I like the concept of a soul reacting very well done :)

Very good work. I think I had already commented on this one before. Very true. Feelings, you can numb them, put them aside, ignore them, they will come back to haunt you. I like the imagery you used: stronger than a tidalwave. Keep those walls high and don’t let anyone break them down until you can really trust someone.
