Don’t look into my eyes, tears they spread,

Don’t view my countenance, it’ll fill you with dread.

For my message lies within my heart,

Hidden forever never to part.

Stranger my dear, you know me best,

For you were chosen from the rest.

Why I chose you, you’ll never know,

But touched me that I’ll tell you so.

For my appearance to the world does lie,

Whilst at night alone I cry.

In music and printed words do I slip away,

To create my perfect world and in it stay.

I reach out to you for I need a friend,

To lay my tired head and with a real smile spend.

For a normal person I may not be,

As I am different anyone can see.

To you I once did bear my heart,

For I had a liking right from the start.

The essence is same right to this day,

I pray you one day see it that way.

For in spoken words I cannot tell,

I speak no sense for an idea to sell.

But in the current year I did change,

To spirits and tears to assuage my pain.

The intoxicating effect just knocks me cold,

Keeps me quiet my latent emotion sold.

When I am happy from it I stay away,

But when  am upset U drown my way.

It gives me solace, comfort from pain,

With a groggy head I cannot complain.

I spend the day as I sleep away,

To stay from fights I turn music my way.

For I love in this world for my child,

My sweetest gift, my meek and mild.

To you I call for my world is dead,

To keep myself from going down dead.

For the words you speak at times do lie,

Although I know, I let it fly.

for I don’t care as you know the truth,

The spoken tongue will the real story refute.

For I also do lie to myself,

To open happiness from loved life’s shelf.

Spreading the smile to unknown faces,

Keeps me going in the universal graces.

For about my dreams to you I never hide,

Told it all with no truth denied,

For my words may be shallow to come your way,

But its the truth that will shine one day.

Its my feelings for you to which I lie,

For I don’t want to lose you for I’ll die.

You may not know but you’re the world to me,

May I never wake from this reverie.

I view you with innocence spreading the love,

My soulful companion sent from above.

In harmony with you keeps my tears away,

Gives me joys to sing, dance and play.

You’ll never understand your effect on me,

My soul, my heart, my body in this mystery.

For you believed in me each step of the way,

Holding your hand as I grew each day.

For one day dear Stranger you will be immortalised,

For I have now my dream realised.

Although I want you forever on by my side,

I hold that back and make you a friend to confide.

Now you see why I don’t talk sense,

I hide away to keep the suspense.

But with you I did bear my inner heart,

For I love you forever never ever to part.

Don’t judge me for my composure,

For I  impart to the world that pleasure,

But if you look at my tear tracked face,

You will see the smile out of place.

To keep my weary heart innocent and young,

To spread a message that is still unsung.

I never show my inner heart so true,

You are rare and one of the chosen few.

For your tender care keeps me sane,

To love and cherish, to be myself again.
