the sky was going to touch the ground,

nobody was running,

but it was coming,

the president paused,

destruction with no cause,

his eyes scanning the audience,

looking for tears,

there were none,

just fears,

worries,

as they waited for the impact,

world leaders,

warped minds,

some smiling wide,

others shaking inside,

bad times,

war crimes,

red button,

pressed,

a planet distressed,

the damage done,

life none,

humans gone,

and the souls would be free.
