Can you hear what I see?
Can you see what I hear?

Poem about my deafness and what I hear… and what I see.

I tried to hear things around me,

People chatting…

Music blaring…

Pool ball games clacking….

Blaring alarm clocks….

Not a sound… not a sound….

Just the sounds of silence.

I know there is nothing that can disturb my deep inner most thoughts.

Only the imagination of silent sounds.

So wild….

So high…

So steadily…

Nothing can describe the sounds in my mind.

Only the silent dreams can say.

Music you have never heard.

No bass…

No drums…

No mistake…

Just the sounds of silence.

Closing my eyes to visualize the making of a single tune,

From a dew dripping off a rose’s petal into the pond.

A tune that has never been heard before…

As the dew breaks the stillness in the water…

Like the rings of echos visualizes the sounds of echos through my ears…

So eerie but peaceful that it’s

So powerful…

Sounds of silence…

Sounds of silence…

As I seek in their eyes when we communicate…

All I hear are the silent cries from their souls wanting their own peace,

Silent cries from the beating heart fighting the pain from its

destruction that death makes it the final call to take one away from life.

As I search into your eyes,

it’s mostly blackness and empty…

or lost like I am in my sounds of silence.

Only if you can realize that I see more than you can hear.

The silent cries that I can see can not be hidden from my eyes.

Sounds of silence…

Can you see what I hear….

Sounds of silence.

Can you hear what I see…

Sounds of silence.
