This is a song abut a friend’s marriage gone bad.
Sour Words
Please, stop me if a sing off key.
Please, stop me if I sound too supreme.
I long only to be
Everything.
Bitter grapes is the only thing I taste.
Lines of age shows in my face.
All of which can be eased
Today.
The sweet has died
Leaving only the vine
Of sour times
In a sour world full of sour dreams.
I long for a place just to be.
On a sour note do I hang.
Your sour words begins again.
Please, help me regain the strength.
Please, help me find the music again.
I long to stand
Alone again.
Memories of the old life come to me.
Far in the past I see.
All of which can only be
Me.
But the bitter is alive,
Thriving on the vine
Of our sour lives.
Sour worlds filled with sour dreams.
In the places that I see.
On this sour song do I hang,
While the sour words begin again.
And we go on
Killing each other.
…On, degrading each other.
A simple game we play.
Why do we go on this way?
Sour words won’t go away.
Sour words are here to stay.
