As you persisted upon, with your charm and romance.
When we met the first time,
Love to me was indecent,
As if it did its own crime,
I found it was appeasant,
Then as you persisted upon,
With your charm and romance,
I took to being the one,
Compromising at a glance,
I didn’t want to be easy,
And I didn’t mean to be hard,
But the story as you see,
By laying down the ace of my card,
Was to set the record straight,
By playing my simple part,
So special being my date,
All along only wanting,
To be your best mate.
