Josh saw a speck in his eye as a potential problem which he felt could lead to blindness. He believed so because his father and uncles were blind at a young age. Josh’s doctors however reassured him that this speck was only a floater and nothing serious.

Seeing clearly

Is vital if we’re

To successfully navigate

The terrain of life

- – -

So when Josh

Discovered a speck

In his right eye

He obviously became anxious

- – -

This minuscule intruder

Took up an importance

That he couldn’t imagine

And troubled him

- – -

It had Josh treading

To   Opthamologist

After  Opthamologist

To find out how serious

Was this culprit

- – -

Josh was assured

That his visitor

Was only a floater

And there was nothing

To worry about

- – -

But Josh world changed

He began imagining things

And felt that he was

Going blind

- – -

Although reassurances

From his doctors

He still believed

That there was something

They weren’t telling him

- – -

Josh fears were based

On good grounds

Since his father and uncles

In their eighties

Had lost their sight

When they were quite young

Poor Josh, he should just relax and enjoy his eye sight while he has it.

We do get perturbed by such things..sometimes, these worries harm more than the ailment itself..

Even though the doctors reassured him, he still had his doubts. Sometimes when you worry too much about something it can become a reality. It seems like Josh was allowing his fear and worry to control him. It’s okay to be concerned since his father and uncle lost his eyesight, but the fact that he was imagining things after seeing not one but several ophthalmologists makes me think that he was a hypochondriac.

It is a new world every generation, lives through… I had a brother died from some croup thing, when he was three, I almost sh it a brick, when my son came down with the same thing… Doc gave me a pack of capsules, to give him through melting them in hot water, and I made a tent over his, and my head, for him three times a day… hey presto only twenty years had passed, and from being a life threat, it was nothing… your friend will be fine I’m sure take care Erwin cheers
