This poetry speaks how beauty could lock one’s eyes and eventually forget everything all else. My friend desired to see it; I didn’t. He died five years ago but his memory is still etched in my memory, fresh and ever new.
I removed mine
He’d worn his.
Desiring to see clearly
What I saw
Before
He discovered that lady
His lips curved unconsciously
Lost in his eternity
Oblivious of me, memorizing
Her details, his eyes run fast and wide
Isolating his subject
Among other creations
Forming her figure
In the spectacles he just wore.
