Poem about a gentleman that has a case of the jitters before giving a speech.

It was my first presentation.

Nerves of steel faded away.

I was scared.

I was afraid.

I was alone.

I stepped forward.

My audience focused their attention

ON ME!

And I went speechless.

Nary a word came out of my mouth.

I stood frozen in time.

Four seconds became four hours.

I wiped my forehead with a hanky.

I thanked my audience for coming.

I waved goodbye.

And I went off stage into oblivion
