A redo of an earlier poem by the same name again describing an encounter I had with a particular woman.
I forget to breathe because I think I must be dreaming
If that is the case I never want to wake
Her beauty defines logic it’d make the devil’s knees shake
From her head to the toe a hauntingly beautiful flow
Captured my eyes, I couldn’t move I was paralyzed
Memorized I feel as though I’m in a different world
Staring into heaven when I looked in her eyes
Here I stand with this gorgeous girl
But she’s not a girl, she’s a woman, a goddess
She moves so effortlessly towards me as if she’s floating
Her mouth starts to open wouldn’t it be my luck
This lady has left me thunderstruck what can I do
My mouth starts to dry and my mind is racing
My pulse is pulsating so hard as I turn and I’m facing
This glorious woman my mouth starts to open
But as it does my brain shuts down and no communication is made
I realize no words are escaping
So in this moment as I try to think
This woman has cursed me I can’t even blink
In fear I will lose her but I still stand here silent
This feeling is killing me it’s oh so violent
My heart is screaming but my mind draws a blank
Oh dear god this is some sort of cruel prank
Her voice like an angel so gentle and soft
Her lips so moist as they start to move
That flawless skin as her hand touches mine
Smooth like an old glass of wine
She whispers into my ear “hello”
So simple and pure but even though
I stand here, speechless…
