Spring has arrived hooray, hooray,
Winter has left a brand new day.
Spring is here, how long will it stay?
I guess, just until the first hot summer rays.
Off with the coats, hats and mittens,
Grab your rods and let’s go fishin!
The trees are budding, the flowers blooming,
Everyone is in love with it, I am assuming.
Kids laughing in the park and playing until dark,
The dogs run around and how they do bark.
The sweet smell of spring is all through the air,
No one stays in side, they wouldn’t dare.
The grass is green, the sky is blue,
Mom and Dad are in such a good mood.
Buzz, Buzz, Buzz, what is that sound?
Oh, no it’s a bee flying around!
The fresh cut grass feels soft as a bunny,
It tickles my toes and feels rather funny.
Speaking of bunnies, Easter is near,
So, what will your Easter bonnet look like this year?
Baseball and tennis are fun to play,
If the spring showers don’t get in the way.
Spring break is wonderful, there’s so much to do,
But we must return to school much to soon.
I’d pick you some flowers but that makes them die,
They are much more Beautiful when they’re alive.
Hamburgers and hot dogs barbecued just right,
Tastes great and starts a delightful night.
In the evening we sit on our front porch swing,
While we reminisce over our favorite things.
Spring leaves us, and soon you see,
It always remains in our dreams.
