This is a poem about experiencing a Spring lightning storm.

Spring Lightning

Following the heels of a scorching Spring heat

Like Jack Frost melting in a boiler room by his feet

A Spring wind-evening mellows us down again

Giving solace to every woman, boy and man

Walkers strolling in the cool winds rolling across the sky

Lush spring foliage waving with the winds

Like children waving their last spring goodbyes

Up above and overheard is heard thunder clapping on a roll

Like a newborn child yelling out its “Mother, feed me” cry

Like dainty dried-earth-fingers cracking in the sky

The lightining shafts light up with menacing-waving-cries

Just like a spider races across its web upon its prey

The lightning flashes east and west, leaving swiftly every point upon its way

It joins  the thunder rolls, one sounding here, the other-LIGHT-light-LIGHTNING there

One peels in the in the air thru the ears, the other curls the eyebrows and fills the soul with fear

Giant black cat dancing across the sky to an unseen aerial mouse

It leaves behind its trace a bowl of dark soup lined with a feigned bowl fractally-lined with milk
