The world is an open book and each chapter has its own stage. In each chapter, we all play a part but the show will go on with or without you.

They say the world is a stage
We all must play our part
The stage is our terrain
The audience our captors
Lights camera action
A star is born; the show begins.
Stage one begins with that first breath
The world is new, vibrant, unseen
A cry of life escapes the lips
Life’s first inhalation soft and clean
A child is born unto the world
The sweetest sound ever heard.
Stage two begins with life
The world a maze to ascertain
Life’s first cry turned to a smile
Emotions of joyous splendor
Alive, inquisitive, excitable
The child grows with each page of time.
Stage three begins with a twist
The world overflowing with indecision
We question is it genuine or fantasy
Life’s game plays, the dice roll
Truth, honesty, lies and deception
Our stage becomes overcome with complexity.
Stage four begins with self-esteem
Your world belongs to only you
Bemused and forlorn; seizing the world
Confident and true to only you
The world a stage as the pages turn
The show will go on with or without you.
