I may not be able to speak

But I still have a voice

Words are rendered useless

But I am unhindered and have a choice.

I may not be able to hear

But I can still listen to what you have to say

Reading your lips is rather tedious

But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I may not be able to see

But I am still aware of the world around me

I am not a stumbling fool that got lost in it’s pace

But a strong individual who can stand on her own.
