About the inner child in all of us.
Standing in the shadows,
I know not what to say,
I take all my feelings,
I hide them far away,
Inside my heart,
There is this place,
I go to all the time,
While sitting there in silence,
Answers to my questions,
I always try to find,
Although you cannot see me,
You know I’m always near,
Deep inside your heart,
You feel me,
Yes I am here,
That feeling of calmness,
That floods your worried soul,
I’m that place of peace,
You always know to go,
I stand within the shadows,
Near and never far,
Giving love and support,
No matter where you are,
Yes, I am your inner child,
I’ve been with you for life,
I remind you dearest,
That you must always fight,
I whisper softly in your ear,
As you sleep and walk in dream,
I bring to you the insight,
And glimpses you now gleam
