We must decide are we moving up or in a slide
Is the work being done or do we turn up tail and run
What to date has President-elect Barack Obama really done
How far thus far under his leadership have we actually come
Is it all just in his talk showcased as a lame duck sought of walk
Or has he finally struck the match and now we finally see the spark
Sparking the start of a new beginning and a breath of fresh air living we can achieve
And the faith to stand tall with a man standing tall if we truly believe
We are one nation under God
