Standing Up for Freedom.
November 19, 2011: With reruns of news dominating and taking over the “video scene” the world of viral videos seems to be operating by its own time.
Lucky for us, otherwise we might have missed this great, short film for Amnesty International, “Standing Up for Freedom”.
Briefly, Amnesty International, founded in 1961 after a publication of Peter Benenson’s article “Prisoners”, is an international non-governmental organization. Their mission is “to conduct research and generate action to prevent and end grave abuses of human rights, and to demand justice for those whose rights have been violated.” (To find out more about Amnesty International visit their web site at www.amnesty.org.)
This video was created by the world-renowned international motion art production company Eallin, based in Prague, Czech Republic, to celebrate Amnesty International’s 50th anniversary. It was directed by Carlos Lascano. The music is by Academy Award winning composer Hans Zimmer and Academy Award nominee Lorne Balfe.
