Written in response to Robert Hayden’s: Those Winter Sundays.
You are the giver, giving all a family needs delivered
The provider of all and yet despised
No matter his weakness, I must endear him and fear him
Always paranoid of his eyes
My goals are great to go out, fulfill, and leave to fate
But with my state, why bother
For the most accursed dread to put on a man’s head
Is to assign him an extraordinary father
